(Johannesburg, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Digitain was present at the inaugural edition of ICE Africa last week. “Overall the feedback was extremely positive both from existing operators and start-up’s looking to launch in the African market”, said Tatev Harutyunyan Marketing & Trade Show Project Coordinator, in an exclusive interview with SoloAzar.

“Africa is an expanding market”

What are you presenting in this inaugural edition of ICE Africa?

We shall be showcasing our multi-channel, retail, kiosk, online and mobile Sports Betting and Gaming Platform that delivers a frictionless turnkey or white-label solution in which our Bespoke API's allow the integration of a sportsbook, casino, live dealer, and virtual sports modules subject to market regulation. The API also provisions the ability for the client to customize the front-end user journey and user experience and allows the betting brand to be agile and flexible, and in control of the product roadmap to adapt to fast-changing market and local conditions. With an extensive payment gateway, bonus engine, CRM system, and dedicated customer support 24/7, the platform provides everything needed for fast market entry for clients.

What feedback did you receive from the visitors?

Overall the feedback was extremely positive both from existing operators and start-up’s looking to launch in the African market.

How do you see this first edition of ICE Africa?

The continent of Africa has been booming for years in terms of sports betting and other forms of iGaming. In regards to the ICE Africa show it was well-attended and we had a very busy meeting schedule and are very pleased with the inquiry pipeline.

What do you think the ICE brand decided to have their show here?

Africa is an expanding market and with the ICE brand so well known internationally it makes sense for their business to launch ICE Africa and cater for the growing needs of everyone within that marketplace and supply chain.

What is the presence of the company in the continent?

Our business has been attending some of the smaller shows prior to the inaugural launch of ICE Africa due to the increasing number of inbound enquiries from existing operators looking to change their technology and for start-up’s looking to enter the Africa market.

How can you describe the gaming sector in the region?

Overall the region is buoyant and is in growth phase and shows no sign of contraction. Margins are robust for incumbent operators and while competition is increasing, market attractiveness’ for new brands is strong.

What are the objectives towards the end of the year for the company?

To ensure we listen to our customers’ in order to provide the optimal technology solution for their businesses needs currently and in the future. We wish to grow with our clients and our people and technology stack can deliver on those aims and objectives.

What are the projections for 2019?

From a market standpoint, Africa and North America shall continue to witness solid expansion for several years to come. On the technology side the key trend shall be localization and customization and the ability or requirements from the operators to work much closer with their technology partners to co-develop the product road-map.

Will you be present at other shows?

We shall be attending and exhibiting at SiGMA iGaming at the end of November and ICE 2019 in London.
